CBI arrests 4 more accused in Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub Inspector Recruitment Scam
The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has arrested 4 more accused recently in Jammu and Kashmir Sub-Inspector recruitment scam. Notably, the investigation agency has detained 13 people overall. As a result of claims that there were irregularities in the test for the position of sub-inspector, the CBI conducted searches at 33 different sites.
Four more people have been detained, including two printing workers from Haryana and New Delhi, Vajinder Singh and Pradeep Kumar, as well as CRPF constable Surinder Kumar and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Jammu and Kashmir police Ashok Kumar. Notably, a case was filed against 33 suspects over alleged anomalies in the recruitment of Jammu and Kashmir SI.
According to sources, these printing press workers from Delhi and Haryana provided question papers to agents for distribution the day before the exam. Candidates were invited to purchase the leaked papers by CRPF constable Surinder Kumar.
Each Candidate paid between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 20 lakh for each paper. Many people were puzzled by the inclusion of the daughter, son, and son-in-law of accused Jammu and Kashmir ASI Ashok Kumar on the merit list. Local residents from the Rajouri and Samba districts made up the majority of the candidates on the merit list. Three members of the same family were determined to be qualified for the examination in Samba.
