CBI arrests an official of Veterinary Department for accepting bribe of Rs.5000

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Miltch Tax Inspector(MTI), Veterinary Department, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Keshav Puram Zone, Delhi and his Associate (private person) in a bribery case.

A case was registered on complaint against the accused alleging therein that the M.T.I./Inspector, Veterinary Department, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Keshav Puram Zone, Keshav Puram, Delhi has demanded an illegal gratification of Rs.5000/- per month for not catching the cows of the complainant under his jurisdictional area.

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.5000/- from the Complainant. Searches are being conducted at the premises of both the accused.

The arrested accused were produced before the Designated Court, Delhi yesterday.
