CBI arrests Delhi Police Head Constable in Bribery Case of Rs.40000 The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended a Head Constable of Police Station Nand Nagari, North East District, Delhi while accepting a bribe of Rs.40,000 from the complainant. The CBI filed a complaint against the accused on charges of requesting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant. The accused allegedly demanded the bribe amount from the complainant in order to authorize the construction of his residence. The accused allegedly threatened to demolish his property if the payment was not paid. Following negotiations, the accused lowered the bribe amount from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 40,000. CBI set a trap and caught the aforementioned Head Constable red-handed while collecting a bribe of Rs.40,000 from the complainant. Searches were also carried out on the accused's premises. The investigation is continuing.
