The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police while accepting a bribe of Rs.45,000 from the Complainant.

CBI arrests Delhi Police Sub-Inspector for accepting Bribe of Rs.45000

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police while accepting a bribe of Rs.45,000 from the Complainant.

A complaint was filed against the aforementioned Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police at Jamia Nagar Police Station in Delhi, Delhi, alleging that the complainant was being asked for a bribe.

It was claimed that the accused, who served as the IO for the case, asked the complainant for a bribe of Rs.50,000 in exchange for diluting the case against him and the others and not having his guard and maid arrested.

The CBI set up a trap and caught the accused red-handed while they were taking advantage of the complainant and accepting a bribe of Rs. 45,000.

Searches are being conducted at the premises of the accused person. The investigation is continuing.
