CBIC amends Instructions regarding Health Certificate Requirement with Import of Food Consignments The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Custom(CBIC) has amended the Instructions regarding extension of Requirement of Health Certificate accompanied with Import of Food Consignments via releasing new Instructions. The Instructions Stated, "Reference is drawn to Board’s Instruction No 18/2022-Customs dated August 12, 2022, Instruction No 30/2022-Customs dated November 14, 2022 and Instruction No 32/2022-Customs dated November 28, 2022 relating to the requirement of Health Certificate to be accompanied with the import of certain food consignments, based on a reference from FSSAI order dated August 03, 2022 and its subsequent clarification dated September 26, 2022." In this regard, FSSAI has extended the date of implementation of above FSSAI order dated for the further period of two months and the same will now be effective from March 01, 2023, vide its order dated January 10, 2023 (copy enclosed).
