CBIC defers GST provisions on TDS or TCS till 30 September 2018
Yesterday CBIC issued Official Notification No. 12/2018 Central Tax (Rate) for Extension of RCM till 30th September 2018but in that notification no where it was mentioned that whether TDS and TCS provisions are also extended or not.
Later on department has issued a press release where it has mentioned that provisions relating to tax deduction at source (TDS) and collection of tax at source (TCS) also extended till 30.09.2018.

Extension of suspension of provisions relating to tax deduction at source (TDS) and collection of tax at source (TCS) till 30.09.2018 The competent authority has decided that the provisions of sections 51 and 52 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 relating to tax deduction at source (TDS) and collection of tax at source (TCS) respectively, shall remain suspended till 30.09.2018.About Author
