CBIC extends last date of Re-Import by 3 months due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic

New Delhi, the 10th July, 2020
G.S.R. ______ (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 9/2012- Customs, dated the 9th March, 2012, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 129 (E), dated the 9thMarch, 2012, namely:- 2. In the said notification, in condition no. (iii), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-“Provided that for the cases where the last date of re-import falls between the 1st February, 2020 and the 31st July, 2020, the last date stands extended by three months;”.
