CBIC Issued Instruction on inclusion of Bamboo sticks in the list of processed items The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Custom(CBIC) has issued Instruction regarding inclusion of Bamboo sticks (less than 6mm thickness) in the list of processed items that do not require Plant Quarantine Clearance. The Notification Stated, "Reference is invited to F.No.99-16/2012-PQD dated 24.05.2022 enclosed with Annexure-1 regarding the list of Processed Items (Plant Production) which does not require Plant Quarantine Clearance from the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (DA&FW) (copy enclosed). " With reference to the above communication, DA&FW have stated that in compliance of the DA&FW letter no. 8-18/2021-PP.II dated 19.05.2022, all the Plant Quarantine Stations have been informed that the Competent Authority in DA&FW has approved the inclusion of bamboo stick less than 6 mm in the list of processed items that do not require PO clearance and enclosed the revised list of processed items in Annexure-1. It is requested that necessary action may be taken to sensitize officers under your jurisdiction.
