CBIC issues Advisory for Anonymised Escalation Mechanism under Faceless Assessment
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued an advisory for Anonymised Escalation Mechanism under Faceless Assessment dated 28th June 2022.
CBIC has endeavored to provide an Anonymized Escalation Mechanism for ICEGATE registered users where they submit their grievance for delay in Bill of Entry clearance under faceless assessment. The delay in clearance would subsequently be escalated to the concerned Faceless Assessment Officers.
The facility shall also enable users to track the status of grievances submitted by them till the eventual resolution
To use the capabilities of the Anonymised Escalation Mechanism under Faceless Assessment, ICEGATE registered users must call the ICEGATE Helpdesk team at the toll-free number 1800-3010-1000.
1. Log a grievance:
After 24 hours from the time the Bill of Entry was filed, users might file a grievance for a delayed clearance.
The following information would need to be provided by users to the help desk representative:
The Helpdesk representative must file the complaint, and they must give the user a grievance number for their records.
2. Track the grievance status:
Users can track the status of the registered grievance by providing their ICEGATE ID and either of the following:
Note: The Anonymised Escalation module shall be made available post login on ICEGATE portal itself and advisory for the same shall be issued in due course of time.
