CBIC notifies 29th, 30th and 31st March as Working Days for Customs Field Formations The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has notified a directive that mandates the working days on 29th, 30th and 31st March for customs field formations. These days will be treated as official working days for Customs operations. CBIC notified this via issuing a notification. The notification issued by Sanjeet Kumar, Under Secretary (Cus IV), states this decision was made to ensure the seamless operation of Customs services as well as to ease trade and business operations. All Principal Chief Commissioners, Chief Commissioners, and other senior officials have been directed to bring this to the attention of officers and staff under their jurisdiction and ensure compliance. This measure is likely to benefit businesses, importers, and exporters by reducing disruptions in customs clearance procedures near the conclusion of the financial year. The directive was issued with the Competent Authority's consent. The Notification Read as Follows: The undersigned is directed to inform that all field formations of Customs under CBIC shall remain open on 29.03.2025, 30.03.2025 and 31.03.2025 and the same will be treated as working days. You are requested to bring the above to the notice of all officers and staff working under your jurisdiction for compliance. This is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
