CBIC will Destruction Around 42000 kg Narcotics The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) will hold a Drug Destruction Day tomorrow (08.06.2022) as part of the Ministry of Finance's Iconic Week of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" (AKAM) celebrations to commemorate India's 75th anniversary of independence. At 14 locations across the country, a total of 42000 kg of narcotics would be destroyed. Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, will virtually see the destruction process in Guwahati, Lucknow, Mumbai, Mundra/Kandla, Patna, and Siliguri and will address the officers.
