CBSE 2024: CBSE Released Class 10th and 12th Board Grading System
CBSE 2024: CBSE released class 10th and 12th Results on 13th May 2024 on its official website i.e., cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. The CBSE Marksheet will include grades in addition to marks. Students are free to complain about grading. CBSE and relative grading are used in this system.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a statement outlining the grading system. The board has used the ‘Relative Grading method’ to assign subject-specific grades to class 10 and 12 candidates, along with their marks. CBSE 10th and 12th mark sheet cum certificate would include grades and marks. Here’s everything you need to know about CBSE’s “Relative Grading.”
The participants in the class X and XII examinations receive subject-specific grades from the CBSE in addition to their individual subject marks. The candidates’ class X and XII mark sheets and certificates show the grades that were granted.
CBSE has implemented “Relative Grading,” which is based on the more scientific relative grading method as opposed to absolute grading, which assigns grades based on preset cut-off values. This means that rather than basing grades on a range of marks, such as 91 to 100 or 81 to 90, the candidates’ respective merits are taken into account to decide their group. The amount of candidates passing each subject determines the grade variation between subjects.
All of the passing students are placed in eight equal groups based on rank order, and they receive the following grades.
The merit list and top scorers are not formally announced by CBSE. On the other hand, merit awards will be given to all students who place in the top 0.1% of each topic, given that the subject has at least 500 participants.
The following factors are taken into consideration when ranking the candidates:
The grading system’s operation is demonstrated by the example that follows:
