CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for online application under the CBSE merit Schemes this Friday. The extension is allowed for new applicants and renewals under the Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme.
The aim of this scholarship scheme is to support education for single girl children and financially assist deserving female students. The 2024 scheme and renewal of the 2023 scholarships can be requested by interested candidates till 10th January 2025. The schools need to verify applications by 17th January 2025. To apply for this scheme, applicants must be the only child of their parents, have a minimum score of 60% in the CBSE class 10 exam and now studying in class 11 or 12 at a CBSE-affiliated institution.
The tution fee should not exceed Rs. 1,500 per month in class 10 with a 10% increase for higher classes. For NRI students the tuition fee is Rs. 6000 per month for schools abroad. The other CBSE eligibilty criteria and application processes will be the same as before.
