The Central Bank of India (CBI) has assigned an offsite Concurrent Audit work for Chartered Accountants.

The audit will be carried out from the regional offices of the branches. A 19-point checklist defines the scope of work, which includes 100% vouching, KYC, advance verification, and a review of all work transactions available in the field in B/S.

Also, note that this scope of work is illustrative and not exhaustive. A Fee/ Remuneration Amount of Rs.8000 per month per Branch will be paid for offset Concurrent Audit work.

CA Anupam Sharma, who shared this news on his official Twitter account has requested to boycott the above work and send a timely message to the Management of the Central Bank of India.

He said, “It is now time for our members to unite and boycott work. We cannot expect ICAI to respond to every situation.”

“We are professionals, not labourers,” he further added.
