Centralized NOC Policy to identify New Auditors accepting Audits without Communication with the Previous Auditors
Communicating with the previous auditor is critical task before taking a new audit assignment as per ICAI Professional Ethics. If an auditor takes an assignment without following this protocol, the previous auditor the New Auditor may face Disciplinary Action of ICAI. Also, it may be possible that there is unpaid fees of the Previous Auditor which will be lost if no NOC (No Objection Certificate) is taken.

To address this long-standing issue, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will shortly implement a Centralized No Objection Certificate (NOC) policy on the UDIN Portal to expedite the procedure.
This progressive step is intended to increase collaboration between current and prior auditors.
