The Ministry of Labour and Employment has released a notification scheduling the enforcement of New Labour Codes for November 21, 2025.

Centre Notifies Activation of Key Labour Code Provisions from November 21, 2025 The Ministry of Labour and Employment recently shared a notification on November 21, 2025 related to new labour codes. Followings are four new labour codes: 1. The Central Government under Section 1(3) of the Code on Wages, 2019 announce that provisions of the new labour laws will officially start on November 21, 2025.

1 section 1 to 41;
2 sub-sections (4) to (9) of section 42;
3 section 43 to 66;
4 sub-section (1) and clause (a) to (r) and (u) to (zc) of sub-section (2) and sub-section (3) to (5) of section 67;
5 section 68;
6 section 69, except the provisions of the Code mentioned at serial number 3 of S.O. 4604 €, dated the December 18, 2020
2. In powers given under sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (37), the Central Government declared that provision of the new labour codes will come into effect from November 21, 2025.

3. The Central Government, under Section 1(3) of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (36), announces that provisions of the new labour laws will officially start on November 21, 2025.
