Chartered Accountant compares his Profession with the salary of an IAS; Why do people prefer IAS to other Profession?

A recent post by a Chartered Accountant has sparked an argument on X, formerly known as Twitter. In his post, he stated that he does not understand why people prefer the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) over the CA, despite the latter’s better salary range.

While many people criticized his post, claiming that the IAS is all about “power and respect,” a few people backed it.

CA Chirag Chauhan wrote on his official Twitter Account, “The average salary of an IAS is the starting salary of a CA. Why do people prefer IAS?”. Along with the tweet, he also posted a photo of an IAS officer’s salary division.

The post was shared 3 days ago. Since being tweeted, the share has had over 7.5 lakh views, and the figure is only growing. The share has received nearly 2,400 likes. People left various comments in response to the share.
