Chartered Accountant Loses Rs 64 Lakhs in Online Fraud After Glitch in Mobile In probably one of the biggest cyber heists of the Jaipur city, Rs 64 lakh was swindled from a Chartered Accountant's Firms bank accounts Following a sequence of suspicious activities on his mobile phone for two days. The likelihood of phone hacking leading to the theft has not been ruled out by the city police. CA Rakesh Tatuka (68) Partner of Garg Narendra & Associates Chartered Accountants, the complainant, filed a FIR with the Jaipur police's cyber police station. His phone lost network connectivity on Friday evening, according to the FIR. He phoned his business colleague, who had experienced the same network problem. The next day, the complaint and his business partner went to the telecom company's office. They received two new sim cards for their cellphones, but they were unable to use them right away due to a delay in the activation period. Meanwhile, the two partners used online banking to access their firm's bank account. A log-in issue persisted for several hours, according to the complaint. Tatuka next attempted to log into his personal bank account, but was unable to do so due to the same issue. On suspicion, both the partners reached IDBI Bank and checked their account, then within 2 days, 64 lakh rupees (58.93 from Firms Account and 5.11 From Personal Account ) were found missing. The bank employee informed him that the firm's bank account had Rs 300 left, while Tatuka's account had Rs 700. The investigation into the matter is ongoing, according to SHO Satish Chand, who told TOI that the police are analyzing the technical details to determine whether there was any breach in the two cell phones. According to the sources, the two mobile numbers abruptly left the network service area, raising the possibility that the phones were compromised. On Initial Investigation it was found that Money has been transferred in the Account of Different persons of Uttarpradesh and MP. "Hacking into two mobile phones at the same time is a difficult task. "However, we are not ruling out any possibilities just yet," a source stated.
