Chennai Air Customs Arrests a Passenger at Airport for Smuggling Goldpaste Worth Rs.5.37 lakh On 06.02.2022, Chennai Air Customs agents intercepted a male passenger arriving from Colombo on Indigo Airlines Flight 6E 1208 and discovered one packet containing gold in paste form concealed in his person. During the extraction, one 123-gram ingot was discovered and seized. The passenger was attempting to smuggle 123 grams of goldpaste worth Rs.5.37 Lakhs. A total of 123 gms of Gold totally worth Rs.5.37 Lakhs seized under the Customs Act, 1962.
