Clarification on GST burden on crypto ecosystem deferred by Fitment committee GST Fitment committee has deferred clarification on the GST tax burden for crypto ecosystem. According to sources, no clarity will be provided on GST applicability to crypto exchanges and related operations including mining, bartering, and wallets, etc. This means Crypto Tax will Remain Mysterious. The applicability of GST to cryptocurrency exchanges and activities like mining, bartering, and wallets is not entirely clear and now clarification of the tax burden on the crypto ecosystem has been postponed by the fitment committee. The committee got requests on clarification of GST on cryptocurrency services and activities from the states of Haryana and Karnataka. As per Fitment Committee, the clarification is deffered as more research is needed on the crypto environment.
