CMRL Recruitment 2023: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is inviting applications for the post of Chief Vigilance Officer, General Manager and Additional General Manager on a deputation/contract basis. Selected candidates on a deputation basis will be appointed for a tenure of 03 years. As per the CMRL Recruitment notification, there are 03 vacancies. Candidates will be selected through a personal interview followed by a medical examination.
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is a Joint Venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu, is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Metro Rail Project in the city of Chennai. The age limit for all the posts is different. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria have to apply online and send the hard copy of the application to the address mentioned below. Mention below are the post-wise Qualification and Experience for CMRL Recruitment 2023:
Chief Vigilance Officer
Candidate should be an Officer belonging to Organized Group A Services drawing pay in the Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) scale in their cadres (Functional/Non-Functional) The officer having experience working in technical disciplines of Group A engineering disciplines of railways will be preferred. The Benchmark for selection would be at least ‘8.0’ in the APAR Grading of the last 5 years ACR and the integrity should be beyond doubt. (Wherever number grading is not available, ‘Very Good’ will be acceptable). Officers having experience in handling various preventive and punitive measures in the detection, and punishment of corruption and other malpractices are preferable.
General Manager
Candidate should be a graduate from a recognized University/Institute with an MBA degree in Marketing/Finance. The candidate should have minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in Business Development/Property Development in the Urban Transport sector. An experience in Metro Rail projects/undertaking similar kinds of large-scale infrastructure development projects and managing a large portfolio of developed properties will be desirable attributes.
Additional General Manager-
Candidate should possess B.E/B. Tech (Civil/Mech/ECE/EEE) degree from a Govt. recognized Institute / University approved by AICTE / UGC. Candidates should have a minimum of 17 years of post-qualification experience in procurement in Metro/Railways/Large infrastructure projects. Candidate should have experience in the fields of contract procurement for various types of contracts such as works, consultancy, service and system contracts related to metro/Railways/Large infrastructure including experience in FIDIC contract procedures, Multinational Bank Procurement procedures, Formulating tender and contract conditions etc. evaluation, finalization and experience in e-tender procurement.

Chief Vigilance Officer– The maximum age limit for this post is 56 years
General Manager– The minimum age limit is 45 years and the maximum age limit is 55 years.
Additional General Manager- Candidates above the age of 47 years are not eligible to apply.

Chief Vigilance Officer-
Selected candidates have the option either to draw pay being drawn in the parent organization with deputation allowance and project allowance at 10% of Basic Pay each.
General Manager
Selected candidate for the post of General Manager will get a monthly salary of Rs. 225000
Additional General Manager
Selected candidate for the post of Additional General Manager will get a monthly salary of Rs. 150000
Candidates have to pay Rs. 300 as an application fee.
Candidates will be selected through a personal interview followed by a medical examination.
