Overview:

British Council is seeking applications from qualified and desirous candidates for the post of Accountant at their Noida, India, location. Responsible for accounting activities for the British Council to ensure the financial accounts financial processes are completed correctly ensuring consistent, accurate and robust financial accounting in line with accounting practices and corporate policies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Main opportunities/challenges for this role
  • Accountabilities, responsibilities, and main duties
  • The role holder is also required to perform the financial accounting (AP, AR & General accounting) activities.
  • Process customer transactions.
  • Responsible for income reconciliations of the countries as per the agreed process and any open items / risks are highlighted to develop mitigation plans
  • Complete reconciliation of the income collected with income expected within agreed timeline
  • Perform PO creation activities using the requests received from countries
  • Accurate verification and input of SAP transactions in timely basis in compliance with established standards
  • Provide input to process improvement opportunity identification and analysis
  • Support Process SMEs and Team Lead with data/ information whenever required.

Role Specific Knowledge and Experience:

• Intermediate experience in process handling related to specific responsible areas and capable of delivery as per agreed service levels.
• Financial accounting skills
• SAP Experience
• Communication Skills
• PR to PO creation experience or basic knowledge
• Reconciliation Knowledge & experience
