Competition Commission of India Internship 2022: Competition Commission of India is looking for Ph.D. Candidates for internship. The duration of the internship will be 3-6 months. The honorarium will be Rs. 25000 to 40000 for 3-6 months. The number of internships is limited to five in a financial year.

Eligibility for Competition Commission of India Internship 2022

• The scheme is open to the Indian national candidates registered in a Ph.D. course in a recognized University / Institute in India or abroad.
• The research topic must be in the field of Competition Law/ Competition Economics/ Competition Law and Economics.
• The candidate must have a good consistent academic record.

Selection Procedure for Competition Commission of India Internship 2022

• Topics for the research work shall be approved by the Commission.
• The candidates would be selected by a selection committee constituted by the Chairperson under the chairpersonship of a Member of the Commission.
• The selection would be based on the academic record of the candidate, publications if any and quality of synopsis of the research proposal submitted for an internship at CCI.
• The decision of the committee shall be final.

Scheme of Internship for Competition Commission of India Internship 2022

1. An internship is normally for a period of one month, commencing on the 1st working day of the month.
   However, applicants desirous of pursuing internships for 2-3 calendar months can also apply with due recommendation of the respective universities/Colleges/ Institution for the period applied for.
2. There will be a short induction program on provisions of the Competition Act, 2002 on the 1st day of the Internship.
3. Selected interns will be deputed to various divisions of the Commission in different batches where work will be allocated to them under the guidance/ supervision of officer(s) assigned to them by the Divisional Head(s). At the end of the internship, each intern shall make a presentation on the work done by her/him during the period of internship failing which no certificate and stipend will be released. Interns are expected to maintain discipline, punctuality, and integrity, noncompliance whereof shall result in termination of the internship
4. Each month there will be up to 15 interns. However, it may be relaxed for a particular month when more applicants with good research topics on Competition Law are available.

How to Apply for Competition Commission of India Internship 2022

• The eligible candidates are requested to submit their application for internship in the prescribed format along with the synopsis and detailed CV.
• The application may be accompanied by a certificate from the institute that he/she is not employed.
• The application should be in Times New Roman font size 12 with 1.5 lines of space on A4 size paper.
• The application should reach the Secretary, CCI at least 3 months in advance from the date the internship is expected to start.
