Logitech is hiring an experienced Firmware QA Engineer at their Chennai location. You will work in a central organisation developing common firmware and helping create these new and innovative experiences. You will be part of a transversal team that positively impacts the lives of millions of people and will collaborate with a high-calibre multidisciplinary international team redefining the future of Logitech. You will be a key contributor in imagining, and developing experience of future products, as well as enhancing current products

The complete details of this job are as follows:

What will you be doing:

Design and develop test methodologies for microcontroller-based Bluetooth products.

Support project initiatives collaborating with the rest of the design team ensuring that development milestones and deadlines are met.

Define and implement automated testing as applicable

Actively participate on, and at times lead, cross-functional teams to address firmware issues during development or field issues on existing products.

Create processes and systems (for e.g., Jira) to continuously track and monitor bugs during multiple phases of the product development process

Act as the gatekeeper for FW launches. Ensure only the best quality FW is released.

Qualifications for this Job:

Experience leading QA on firmware projects

Experience with QAing firmware for low power battery powered consumer electronic devices

Experience developing tests for audio firmware that involve single, multiple microphones and speakers

Experience creating or modifying test setups to test Bluetooth protocol stacks

Experience testing Audio over USB firmware

Strong presentation skills

BS/MS in Computer Science /Electrical Engineering or equivalent

What skills are needed:

Minimum 3 years experience in QA for firmware development

Experience with architecting test methodologies, automation tests for firmware development

Experience in anticipating risks in the program and identify areas to work on to reduce risk.

Strong problem solving skills

Keep yourself up-to-date on latest industry trends, and are able to propose enhancements to existing methodologies
