The exam is now computer-based and will have three sections. Section 1 offers 13 languages, Section 2 includes 23 domain subjects, and Section 3 is a general Test. Students can choose up to five subjects instead of six, and they can pick any subject even if it is not part of their class 12 studies. Moreover, candidates can start preparing for CUET UG along with their board exams. The exam date for the CUET 2025 exam will be announced soon and is expected to be in May or June 2025. The test will consist of multiple-choice questions. It will be available in English and one of the 12 regional languages that the student chooses. Each question carries 5 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

CUET Exam 2025: Changes in Exam Pattern

Here are the changes that have occurred in the CUET Exam Pattern 2025:
  • Students can take any CUET UG subject, even if it wasn’t part of their class 12 studies.
  • CUET UG will be held only as a computer-based test (CBT).
  • Instead of 63 subjects, CUET will now offer 37 subjects, which include 23 subjects, 13 languages, and a general test.
  • Each CUET subject exam will last for 60 minutes.
  • For discontinued subjects, admissions will be based on scores from the General Aptitude Test.
