Debit Card for Women and HNIs launched by UBI
The Union Bank of India has developed two new Debit Card variants: a Metal Card for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and one with benefits specially designed for women. Both cards are issued through the Rupay network.
Aside from the metal design, the HNI card will have insurance coverage, access to over-the-top (OTT) channels, international lounge access, and merchant-specific discounts. Both cards have near field communications (NFC) and can be used to tap and pay while in transit.
The women's card is a Rupay platinum card that provides a wide range of benefits, including free cancer care coverage for breast, ovarian, and cervical cancers, as well as complimentary health check-ups. It also includes free personal accident and flight accident insurance, access to OTT subscriptions, international lounge access, and exclusive merchant-specific offers and discounts, making it an excellent choice for women's health and leisure needs.
The two cards were introduced at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai by the bank's MD and CEO, A. Manimekhalai, and NPCI's chief operating officer, Praveena Rai.
