Delhi Government Education Budget 2023-24: The Delhi Government has allocated 16,575 crores to the education sector of Delhi for the financial year 2023-24. The Finance Minister of Delhi, Kailash Gahlot, presented the Delhi Government budget for 2023-24 on March 22, 2023. The Delhi Finance Minister presented a budget of Rs 78,800 crores for the 2023-24 financial year. The Delhi Education Department received Rs 16,575 crores for the financial year 2023-24, the highest among all sectors/departments. The allocation for the education sector accounts for around 21.03% of the total budget.
The focus of the Delhi Government Education Budget 2023-24 is to advance the education sector of Delhi. The allocated fund is to be invested in increasing the quality of infrastructure and teachers. The budget also focuses on building more new schools of excellence. The Delhi Government also presented the achievements of their past education budgets. This year's Education Budget is the highest fund ever allocated to the Education Sector of the Delhi Government. Last year, the Delhi Government allocated 16,278 crores to the Education Department. This year, it increased by around 200 crores (16,575 crores).

- Schools of Specialised Excellence will teach French, Spanish, German, and Japanese languages.
- The Specialised Schools of Excellence will be increased from 20 to 37 in the financial year 2023-24.
- Schools and Businesses will work together to build professional skills for students at the Schools of Applied Learning.
