KVS Class 1 Admission 2023: Registration Started, Check Important Dates, Eligibility and How to Apply
KVS Class 1 Admission 2023: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has started the registration process for KVS class 1 admission 2023 to its KV schools. Through this admission process, students will be able to study at various Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) schools across the country. The registration process will remain active between March 27, 2023, and April 17, 2023. Parents wanting to enroll their children in KV schools should visit the official website of the KVS for the registration process.
Parents must submit only one form for one kid at the same Kendriya Vidyalaya school. The KVS will consider only the most recent form valid for admission in case of multiple form submissions. There is no registration fee for the online registration process. Students for KVS class 1 admission 2023 will be selected based on an online lottery system and priority category system. No examination is held for admission to class 1 in the Kendriya Vidyalayas. The age limit for admission to class 1 admission in the Kendriya Vidyalaya is 8 years.
The first provisional list of selected and waitlisted registered candidates for KVS class 1 admission 2023 will be declared on April 20, 2023. The respective Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools can release further merit lists if seats remain vacant. Each KV has 40 seats in Class 1. Parents of selected candidates will have to submit the required documents to the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya. After paying the required admission fee, candidates will be able to begin their studies at that KV. The last date for online registration for KVS class 1 admission 2023 is April 17, 2023.
Before filling out the online application registration form, parents must carefully read the eligibility criteria for KVS class 1 admission 2023. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:
Nationality: Children of Indian Nationals and Foreign Nations (located in India due to any reason) are eligible to apply
Age: Candidates must be of 6 years as on 31st March 2023 and should not be more than 8 years old as of 31st March 2023.
Parents should arrange the below-mentioned documents beforehand in order to admit their children to class 1 in KV schools.
The KV class 1 admission process takes place through a priority category system. Parents of students belonging to specific categories are given preference over others. Children of such parents will get admission first. The preference order for KV class 1 admission 2023 is tabulated below:

1st | Central government employees, and ex-servicemen. |
2nd | Employees of autonomous bodies, public sector undertaking, or Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India. |
3rd | State government employees. |

5th | Children of any other category and foreign national officials. |
The respected KVs will prepare the list of selected and waitlisted registered candidates based on an online lottery system and priority category system. The important dates regarding KVS class 1 admission 2023 students’ list publication are listed below:
April 20, 2023: The first provisional list of selected and waitlisted registered candidates will be declared.
April 28, 2023: The second provisional list of selected and waitlisted candidates will be declared (if seats remain vacant).
May 4, 2023: If seats still remain vacant, then the third provisional list of selected and waitlisted candidates will be released.
