Department of Post Recruitment 2023: Department of Post is inviting applications from eligible and willing Indian citizens for the post of Skilled Artisans (General Central Service, Group – C, Non-gazetted, Non-Ministerial. There are only 2 vacancies available for this post one for Electrician and one for a Mechanic Trade.
According to the Department of Post Recruitment 2023 official advertisement, the age of the candidate should be between 18 to 30 years as of 01.07.2023. The willing and qualified candidates should superscribe the post applied with trade on the envelope & the application should be addressed to ‘The Manager, Mail Motor Service, GPO Compound, Civil Lines, Nagpur-440001’ and should be sent through Speed Post /Registered Post only
The applications are to be submitted before 11th March 2023 by 5 PM.
As per the Department of Post Recruitment 2023 notification, applications are invited for the Post of Skilled Artisan for the following posts:
1. Motor Vehicle Electrician – 01
2. Motor Vehicle Mechanic – 01
There are a total of 02 vacancies for the given post. The distribution of vacancies for the Department of Post shall be as per the below-given table:

The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 30 years as of 01.07.2023. The age limit shown is the normal age limit and relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC in respect of vacancy reserved for them, and for Government servants up to 35 years in accordance with the instruction or orders issued by the Central Government.
As per the Department of Post Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligible candidates shall hold the following qualifications
(i) A Certificate in the respective trade from any Technical Institution recognized by the Govt. OR
VIII Std. passed with experience of one year in the respective trade.
(ii) The Candidate who applies for the post of Motor Vehicle Mechanic should possess a valid Driving Licence to drive Heavy Motor Vehicles.
The selected candidate will be placed at Level–2 in the Pay Matrix with initial pay of Rs. 19,900 as per the 7th CPC.
Based on the Department of Post Recruitment 2023 notification, photocopies of the following certificates self-attested /attested by Gazetted Officer are required to be submitted by the candidates:
i) Age proof.
ii) Educational Qualification as indicated in S. 1 (b) (i).
iii) Technical Qualification as indicated in S. 1 (b) (i).
iv) Driving Licence/Licence Extract as indicated in S. 1 (b) (ii) [in case of Motor Vehicle Mechanic only].
v) The SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS certificates issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format for appointment to the post under the Government of India.
vi) Trade experience of respective trade/post.
As per the Department of Post Recruitment 2023 notification, the interested candidates should superscribe the post applied with trade on the envelope & the application should be addressed to ‘The Manager, Mail Motor Service, GPO Compound, Civil Lines, Nagpur-440001’ and should be sent through Speed Post/Registered Post only. The separate application should be sent for each trade in a separate envelope if applied for more than one trade. Applications received by any other means will be rejected and one application for multiple trades will also be rejected.
The last date of receipt of the application is on or before 11.03.2023 by 17.00 Hours.
