Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023: The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, has called in Applications from the Government Officers Suitable for Appointment on the Post Director On Deputation (ISTC)/By Direct Recruitment (On Tenure) Basis in the National Center for Earth Science Studies (NCESS), Thiruvananthapuram.
As has been mentioned in the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, Director On Deputation/Direct Recruitment in the NCESS is encompassed under the Pay Matrix Level 15 (Rs.182200-224100) Plus Other Allowances.
According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, the Cadre Controlling Authority Concerned under the Government of India may forward the Eligible Officers with Willingness with duly completed Applications in the Enclosed Proforma, who may be spared immediately on Selection within 04 Weeks from issuance of the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Notification in the Employment News.
As per the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, Notified 01 Vacancy shall be filled up on Deputation (Including Short Term Contractual) Basis, failing so by Direct Recruitment (Tenure).

According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Advertisement issued the Revised Pay Scale in the Pay Matrix Level 15 shall be as hereunder:
Pay Scale: Revised Pay Scale in the Pay Matrix Level 15 Pay Matrix Level 15 (Rs.182200-Rs.224100) Plus Other Allowances.
According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Maximum Age Limits prescribed for Deputation/Direct Recruitment Methodology applicable to the Officer/Applicant remains as hereunder:
01) On Direct Recruitment : Not to exceed/Preferably under 56 Years.
02) On Deputation (ISTC) Basis: Not to exceed/Under 58 Years on the Closing Date of the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.
Relaxation in the Age Limit is likely to taken into consideration in respect of the Exceptionally Qualified or/and Experienced Candidates.
Note*: Detailed Eligibility for 01) Deputation (ISTC) and Direct Recruitment is explained in this Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Notification issued for the purpose, which should be perused by the Willing Officers with Eligibility:
A: Deputation (Including Short-Term Contractual):
01) The Scientists/Officers with the Essential Educational Qualification as specified for Direct Recruitment and Working under the Central Government (Government of India) or State Governments or the Union Territory Administration including their Attached and Subordinate Offices or Universities or Accredited Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations/Government-Funded Research Organization/Institutes, etc.
i) holding Analogous Posts on Regular Basis in the Parent Cadre of Department; Or
ii) With 03-Years’ Regular Service in the Pay Level 14 in the Pay Matrix rendered Appointment thereto on a Regular Basis in the Parent Cadre or Department; Or
iii) With 05-Years’ Regular Service in the Pay Level 14 in the Pay Matrix rendered Appointment thereto on a Regular Basis in the Parent Cadre or Department;
AND
B: Direct Recruitment:
Essential:
i) Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D.) in Natural Science or Engineering/Technology with either a Master’s Degree in Natural Science or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from any Accredited University/Institute;
ii) 21-Years’ Experience in Research and Development in the relevant Field; such as Geoscience/Geophysics/Geology/Seismology as evidenced by Research Papers/Report/Patents/
iii) Project Management/Administration, Teaching (at Graduate or Post Graduate Levels), Supervision or Training in the relevant Field.
Desirable: Post-Doctoral Experience in the relevant field.
As per the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023 Notification, Selection on the Director Post shall be carried through by Deputation, failing so, Direct Recruitment (Tenure). The Candidates shortlisted would be summoned to participate in the Personal Interaction/Viva-voce.
Deputation Tenure: The Deputation Tenure (Including Short-Term Contractual) including the Deputation (ISTC) Period in another Ex-Cadre Post held immediately preceding this Appointment in Similar/some other Organization/Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 05 (Five) Years.
