Direct Tax Collections Cross Rs 10.8 Lakh Crore: Income Tax Dept. Shares FY 2025-26 Data The Income Tax Department of India posted on the social media platform X (Previously Known as Twitter). The department shared Gross Direct Tax (DT) collections, Refunds, Net Direct Tax (DT) collections and Advance Tax collections Data for Financial year 2025-26 as on September 17, 2025. Following are the Data-

 Direct Tax Collection for Financial year 2025-26 (as on September 17, 2025)

Financial Year 2024-25 (as on September 17, 2025) The Gross collection of Corporate Tax (CT) amounts to Rs. 5,59,002.27 crore, while Non-Corporate Tax (NCT) stands at Rs. 6,15,368.50 crore. In addition, Securities Transaction Tax (STT) contributes Rs. 26,154.11 crore and Other Taxes (OT) account for Rs. 1,844.96 crore. Altogether, the total gross collection is Rs. 12,02,369.84 crore. Refunds under Corporate Tax (CT) amount to Rs. 1,08,914.04 crore, whereas Non-Corporate Tax (NCT) refunds stand at Rs. 1,01,916.01 crore. Refunds from Securities Transaction Tax (STT) are nil, while Other Taxes (OT) contribute Rs. 27.58 crore. In total, refunds are Rs. 2,10,857.63 crore. The Net collection of Corporate Tax (CT) amounts to Rs. 4,50,088.23 crore, while Non-Corporate Tax (NCT) stands at Rs. 5,13,452.49 crore. In addition, Securities Transaction Tax (STT) contributes Rs. 26,154.11 crore and Other Taxes (OT) account for Rs. 1,817.38 crore. Altogether, the total gross collection is Rs. 9,91,512.21 crore.

Financial year 2025-26 (as on September 17, 2025) The Gross collection from Corporate Tax (CT) is Rs. 5,95,511.63 crore, while Non-Corporate Tax (NCT) contributes Rs. 6,20,991.52 crore. Securities Transaction Tax (STT) adds Rs. 26,305.72 crore, and Other Taxes (OT) contribute Rs. 297.13 crore. In total, the gross collection amounts to Rs. 12,43,106.00 crore. The Refunds collection of Corporate Tax (CT) amounts to Rs. 1,23,214.57 crore, while Non-Corporate Tax (NCT) stands at Rs. 37,306.72 crore. While Securities Transaction Tax (STT) contributes nil and Other Taxes (OT) account for Rs. 5.32 crore. Altogether, the total refund is Rs. 1,60,526.61 crore. The Net collection from Corporate Tax (CT) is Rs. 4,72,297.06 crore, while Non-Corporate Tax (NCT) contributes Rs. 5,83,684.80 crore. Securities Transaction Tax (STT) adds Rs. 26,305.72 crore, and Other Taxes (OT) contribute Rs. 291.81 crore. Collectively, the total gross collection amounts to Rs. 10,82,579.39 crore. However, the percentage growth of Gross Collection is 3.39%, while the refunds are -23.87% and Net collection is 9.18%.

Advance Tax Collections for F.Y.2025-26 (as on September 17, 2025)

Financial year 2024-25 (as on September 17, 2025) The Advance Tax of Corporate Tax (CT) amounts to Rs. 3,31,844.88 crore, while Non-Corporate Tax (NCT) stands at Rs. 1,04,410.94 crore. Altogether, the total Advance Tax is Rs. 4,36,255.82 crore. Financial year 2025-26 (as on September 17, 2025) The Advance Tax in FY 2025-26 of Corporate Tax (CT) amounts to Rs. 3,52,128.60 crore, while Non-Corporate Tax (NCT) stands at Rs. 96,783.94 crore. Altogether, the total Advance Tax is Rs. 4,48,912.54 crore. The percentage growth of Corporate Tax (CT) is 6.11% on the other hand, Non-corporate Tax is -7.30% and the total is 2.90%.
