Don’t miss to File TDS Statement for FY 23-24; Know Due Date

The Income Tax Department has reminded the taxpayers about the filing of TDS Statement Due Date for FY 23-24 via a tweet on his official Twitter account.

The idea of TDS was introduced with the goal of collecting tax from the source of income. According to this notion, a person (deductor) who is required to make a specific payment to another person (deductee) must deduct tax at the source and send it to the Central Government.

e-file your TDS Statement on or before the due date and avoid late fee of Rs. 200 per day of delay and penalty of upto 1,00,000. The last date to file TDS Statement for Q2 for FY 2023-24 is 31st October, 2023.

The tweet is as follows:

“Attention Tax Deductors!

Don’t miss the deadline. File your #TDS Statement for Q2 FY 2023-24 by 31st October 2023 to avoid penalties.

Visit the website of Traces to download TDS certificates and ensure timely issue of Form 16A. Stay compliant and save on penalties.”
