DRI seized 72 Litres of Amphetamine in Major Drug Bust Operation in New Delhi In a big operation to support the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 72 liters of amphetamine concealed in 240 cans, each carrying 300 mL. The shipment, which arrived from South Africa at the New Courier Terminal in New Delhi, was incorrectly labeled as "Cans of Juice for Sample." However, field testing kits verified the presence of amphetamine, a potent and illegal stimulant. The seized shipment, estimated at around Rs 150 crore, is thought to have been meant for distribution in the region. The finding illustrates law enforcement authorities' increased efforts to combat India's rising drug trafficking issue. One person has been arrested in connection with the seizure, and additional investigations are underway to learn more about the operation and the network behind the shipment. This operation is part of Indian authorities' ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug imports and drug abuse throughout the country, in accordance with the government's commitment to the Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative.
