Due date to submit CPE Credit for CS Members is 31st March

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has notified the Due date to submit CPE Credit for CS Members is 31st March.

ICSI (Continuous Professional Education) Guidelines 2019 disclosed the applicability that it is mandatory for all the members except those specified in Clause 6.1.1 of the guidelines.

Mandatory Requirement During Year (April to March)

  • 20 CPE Credits.
  • Through Structured and Unstructured Learning Activities subject to a maximum of 12 Unstructured CPE Credits.
  • 50% for members of the age of 60 or above as per Clause 5.10 of the Guidelines.

Modes of Obtaining CPE Credits

Some modes to secure Structured CPE Credits

  • Any programme of an academic nature covered under Clause 4.1 of the Guidelines, viz:
    • National Programmes, Seminars
    • Specialised and Advanced Courses
    • PMQ Courses
    • Certificate Courses
    • Crash Courses
  • Publication of Articles in Chartered Secretary, UGC approved Journal, Souvenir of National Programme
  • Publication of Books, etc.

Some modes to secure Unstructured CPE Credits

  • Webinars.
  • Knowledge on Demand.
  • Review of Guideline Answers/Study Material.
  • Reading articles published in the Chartered Secretary Journal.
  • Participation in meetings of the research groups.
  • Publication of articles in the Newsletters published by Regional Councils, etc.

Members are requested to complete the CPE Credits requirement for the year 2023-24. Last date for obtaining CPE credits for the year 2023-24 is March 31, 2024
