Employees’ Provident Fund Organization Added 14.6 Lakh Subscribers in December 2021

EPFO, the retirement fund management organization, added 14.6 lakh members on an actual basis in December 2021, up 16.4% from the same month the previous year.

According to preliminary figures issued by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) on Sunday, the EPFO attracted 12.54 lakh members in December 2020.

According to a statement released by the Labor Ministry, the number of consumers increased by 19.98 percent on an actual basis in December 2021 compared to November 2021.

For the members drawn on an actual basis in November, the tentative estimates of 13.95 lakhs provided in January 2021 were amended to 12.17 lakhs.

9.11 lakh new members were enrolled for the first time under the EPF and MP Act, 1952, out of the total 14.60 lakh subscribers acquired on an actual basis in December 2021.

According to the statement, the number of EPFO members leaving has been decreasing since July 2021.

According to the data, the most people enrolled were between the ages of 22 and 25.

In December 2021, the proportion of women in the overall number of new members was roughly 20.52 percent.
