EPFO Releases FAQs for Smooth Transition to Revamped ECR System
The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, has issued a compliance letter [No. Compliance (V.6)/e-office-704368/2025/13202], dated October 08, 2025, addressed to all the Additional CPFCs (HQ)/Zone and RPFCs in charge of Regional Offices. The letter is titled "Release of FAQs on the Revamped Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) System".
This issuance of this compliance letter is part of the ongoing efforts for the implementation of the Revamped Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) System, effective from September 2025. These FAQs have been prepared and circulated for the purpose of providing information and guidance.
All Zonal and Regional Offices vide this compliance letter are directed to share the enclosed FAQs among all employers, employer associations, and employee unions in their jurisdiction and ensure awareness for adherence.
