Extend Due Date for filing Form CSR-2 and Provides Clarification The Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) has requested that Shri Rajesh Verma, Secretary of Ministry of Corporate Affairs to extend due date for filing Form CSR-2 and provides clarification. The Representation is Given Below: Shri Rajesh Verma, IAS Secretary Ministry of Corporate Affairs Government of India Shastri Bhawan Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road New Delhi -110001 Sub: Request for providing clarification and extension of timelines for filing of Form CSR-2-Reg Respected Sir, We wish to draw your kind attention towards the new rule 12 (1 B) inserted by Companies (Accounts) Amendment Rules, 2022 notified vide MCA Notification dated 11th February, 2022. Rule 12( 1 B) requires every company covered under the provisions of section 135( 1) to furnish a report on Corporate Social Responsibility in Form CSR-2 to the Registrar for the preceding financial year 2020-2021 and onwards as an addendum to Form AOC-4 or AOC-4 XBRL or AOC-4 NBFC (Ind AS) as the case may be. Further, proviso to Rule 12(1 B) states that for the preceding financial year 2020-2021, Form CSR-2 is required to be filed separately on or before 31st March 2022 after filing Form AOC-4 or AOC-4 XBRL or AOC-4 NBFC (Ind AS) as the case may be. In this regard, we wish to state that professionals and corporates are facing difficulty in filing Form CSR-2 as there is a need of clarity while filling various fields of the Form. We have compiled various issues which were received during the webinar on Form CSR-2 organised by the Institute on 7th March, 2022. Such queries are enclosed as Annexure for your kind consideration please. In view of the above, it is requested to provide clarification on the queries being shared to enable the professionals to file the e-form. It is also requested to extend the timelines to file Form CSR-2 by the companies for the preceding financial year 2020-2021 from 31st March, 2022 to 30th June, 2022.
