Finance Dept Officer caught accepting Bribe by ACB The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths apprehended a Section Officer (Welfare-II) in the Finance Department at the Secretariat at Velagapudi for requesting and taking a bribe of Rs.40,000 from a person in order to process a scholarship amount under the ‘Overseas Education for Minorities, Videsi Vidhyadharana Padhakam’ to a student. Acting on a tip, ACB agents raided Onteddu Nagabhushana Reddy's (42) workplace on Friday and caught him red-handed. A complaint was received from one Mohammed Nadeem Hussain of Balajinagarl, who claimed that the accused official requested a bribe to complete his paperwork. The Cash was seized by the ACB team from Nagabushana Reddy. According to a press statement, he will appear before the ACB Special Court.
