Finance Ministry has launched a special drive to unearth fake ITC transactions. The Department has identified individuals/businesses involved in the trading of fake ITC.
Finance Minister has expressed concern to those who have challenged provisions of arrest in case of bogus claim of ITC.
Aadhar in GST Registration is now being used to keep track of bogus/fake firms. Department will take appropriate actions such firms like, blocking their ITC, taking legal action, arrest of Authorised Signatory etc.
