Good Friday Bank Holiday 2024: Are Banks closed on Friday across States; Check State-wise list of Bank Holiday Good Friday Bank Holiday 2024: Banks in various states will be closed on March 29, 2024, for Good Friday. According to the Reserve Bank of India holiday list, banks in all states will be closed for 14 days in March 2024. These include every Sunday, the second and fourth Saturdays, public holidays, and a few regional holidays. The RBI has classified these holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, and Bank Account Closings.

Good Friday Holiday: Banks are not closed in these States

Banks are closed in all states except Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Srinagar. Banks will be closed in all other states on Good Friday.

Banks Open for Business Purpose on March 31, 2024

In order to account for all government revenues and payments in the financial year 2023-2024, the Government of India has requested that all bank branches processing government receipts and payments remain open on March 31, 2024 (Sunday). The Reserve Bank of India stated this in a release on March 21, 2024.
