Government Constitutes NFRA w.e.f 1st October 2018:The Central Government has notified constitution of National FinancialReporting Authority from 01st October 2018 to provide for matters relating to accounting and auditing standardsunder this Act. Central Government has confirmed that the provisions of sub-sections (1) and (12) of Section 132 of the Companies Act, 2013 shall come into force with effect from 1st October, 2018. As per Sub-sections (1) of Section 132 of the Companies Act, 2013 The Central Government may, by notification, constitute a National Financial Reporting Authority to provide for matters relating to accounting and auditing standardsunder this Act.

As per Sub-sections (11) of Section 132 of the Companies Act, 2013 The head office of the National Financial Reporting Authority shall be at New Delhiand the National Financial Reporting Authority may, meet at such other places in India as it deemsfit.

S.O. 5098(E).In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 1 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1^st October, 2018 as the date on which the provisions of sub-sections (1) and (12) of Section 132 of the said Act shall come into force.
