The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has notified the extension of Aadhaar Deadline for enrolment of Beneficiaries under TPDS (Targeted Public Distribution System) till 31st December, 2023 via issuing Notification.

Govt. extends Aadhaar Deadline for enrolment of Beneficiaries under TPDS
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has notified the extension of Aadhaar Deadline for enrolment of Beneficiaries under TPDS (Targeted Public Distribution System) till 31st December, 2023 via issuing Notification.
TPDS is managed jointly by the Central and State/Union Territory (UT) governments. The procurement, distribution, and transportation of foodgrains to the designated depots of the Food Corporation of India are the responsibility of the central government.
The Notification that extends the Aadhaar Deadline stated the following:
In pursuance of the provisions of section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution, published vide number S.O. 371(E), dated the 8th February, 2017.
In the said notification-
(a) in paragraph 1, in sub-paragraph (2), for the words, figures and letters “by 30th September, 2023”, the words, figures and letters “by 31st December, 2023” shall be substituted;
(b) in paragraph 2, in sub-paragraph (1), for the words, figures and letters “by 30th September, 2023”, the words, figures and letters “by 31st December, 2023” shall be substituted.
