Govt Extends Anti-Dumping Duty on Flax Fabric from China And Hong Kong Till Feb 2026 The Ministry of finance has officially extended the anti-dumping duty on imports of woven fabric containing more than 50% flax content. Ministry of finance recently shared a notification dated March 29, 2025 and published in the Gazette of India dated April 1, 2025 had initiated a survey under section 9A of the Custom Tariff Act, 1975 with rule 23 of the Custom tariff Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury, in the case of continuation of anti-dumping duty on imports of 'Woven Fabric' having more than 50% Flax content and commonly known as "Flax Fabric" cited to as the subject goods falling under sub-heading 5309 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, originating in or exported from China PR and Hong Kong citied to as the subject countries, imposed through notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance notification dated November 10, 2020

Now, therefore, under section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act. The Central Government makes the following amendment: In the said notification, after paragraph 2 and before the Explanation, the following paragraph will be placed: "3. Notwithstanding anything contained in paragraph 2, the anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification will remain in force up to and inclusive of February 9, 2026, unless revoked or amended before." This change is aimed at continuing protection for the domestic industry against unfair pricing practices. To know more details of the above, refer to the below notification:
