Govt. Extends Last Date for PLI Scheme Applications for Specialty Steel The government has extended the application deadline for the production-linked incentive scheme for specialty steel for a fifth time, this time until September 15. The production-linked incentive scheme's prior application deadline was July 31. The PLI (Production-Linked Incentive) scheme for speciality steel originally had a deadline of March 29 for businesses to submit applications for the benefits. Later, it was extended until April 30 and then again until May 31, 2022. Up until June 30 and July 31, it was further extended. In a Statement, the ministry of steel stated that, "The last date for receipt of applications under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Specialty Steel through the online application window (at https://plimos.meconlimited.co.in/) has been extended up to 15.09.2022." Criteria for participation, eligibility and other parameters have been notified on 29.07.2021 and the same are available on the portal. Interested companies are requested to first register and then apply on the portal well before the deadline.
