Govt. Extends Tenure of National Commission for Safai Karamcharis for Three Years The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment issued notification No. N-16/5/2021-PLAN  dated 3rd February 2022 in which the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) is extended for a further period of three years i.e. from 01.04.2022 to 31.03.2025. The Notification is Given Below: No. N-16/5/2021-PLAN.—In continuation of the Government of India Resolution dated 27.03.2019, the term of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) is hereby extended for a further period of three years i.e. from 01.04.2022 to 31.03.2025. 2. The terms of reference of the Commission will continue to be the same as notified in the Resolution No.17015/17/2008-RIC dated 02.03.2009. The Commission will continue to perform the functions as mentioned in Section 31(1) of the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013. The provisions regarding its power, procedural matters and Annual Reports will continue to be governed by para 3 and 5 7 of the Resolution No.17015/18/2003-SCD-VI dated 09.09.2004 and composition will continue to be the same as notified in the Resolution No.17015/1/2017-RI Cell dated 13.07.2018.
