Govt notifies various Customs(ADD) to align them with changes made vide Finance Act 2026 The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) under the Government of India has issued a Notification No. 06/2026-Customs (ADD), dated April 30, 2026, informing that the Central Government has made some significant amendments to several earlier notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue). The government has taken this action in exercise of its powers granted under sub-sections (1), (2), and (5) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), read with rules 13, 18, and 20 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-Dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995.
GST Shake-Up: Govt Introduces Key Amendments to Beverage Tax Rates Effective May 1, 2026
The following are the notifications under which amendments have been introduced: 1. In the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 31/2021-Customs (ADD) dated May 29, 2021, wherever the figures “2918 30 90” and “2918 99 90" appear, the figures “2918 30 70, 2918 30 90” and “2918 99 40, 2918 99 90” will be replaced, respectively. 2. In the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 60/2021-Customs (ADD) dated October 14, 2021, wherever the figures “2924 29 90” or “29242990” appear, the figures “2924 29 91, 2924 29 99” will be replaced. 3. In the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 12/2022-Customs (ADD) dated April 28, 2022, wherever the figures “2924 29 90” and “2933 39 90” appear, the figures “2924 29 91, 2924 29 99” and “2933 39 70, 2933 39 80, 2933 39 91, 2933 39 99” will be replaced, respectively.

In the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 23/2024-Customs (ADD) dated November 04, 2024, wherever the figures “7305 11 29” appear, the figures “7305 11 41" and "7305 11 49” will be replaced. 5. In the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 17/2025-Customs (ADD) dated June 19, 2025, wherever the figures “2922 19 90” appear, the figures “2922 19 30, 2922 19 90” will be replaced. These amendments specified in the aforementioned notifications have already come into effect from May 01, 2026. Refer to the official notification for complete information.
