Govt. Re-Appoints Smt. Revathy Iyer as Board of Directors of NABARD The Central Government has re-appointed Smt.Revathy Iyer, Director of Central Board of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as a Board of Directors of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for a period of three years. A notification issued by the Ministry of Finance stated that, "In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Act, 1981 (61 of 1981), the Central Government, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, hereby re-appoints Smt. Revathy Iyer, Director, Central Board of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on the Board of Directors of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) w.e.f. 06.08.2022 for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier." Ms. Iyer served as the chairperson of the Government Accounting Standard Advisory Board (GASAB), which was established in 2002 with the goal of formalising government accounting standards and bringing all branches of the government under the umbrella of uniform common accounting standards. From September 2015 until March 2017, she served as the Director of Finance & Operations for an international NGO (EngenderHealth). Ms. Iyer, who was born on May 28th, 1954, has a Master's in Chemistry from the University of Delhi.
