Overview:

American Express is hiring an experienced Manager – Financial Systems at their Gurgaon location.

The complete details of this job are as follows:

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manages and owns development & maintenance of dashboards across assigned applications
• Partner with tech and solution aspects related to technology architecture, design, and development of systems.
• Lead analysis, design and development of integration solutions and Business Intelligence reports.
• Manage Communication to stakeholders and business partners on the solution and the implementation aspects at the technical and/or functional level appropriate for the situation.
• Ability to work closely with Technical team for solution development and design reviews.
• Functions as a key member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices – tools and common components.
• Develops deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains.
• Works closely with product owners on blueprints and annual planning of feature sets that impact multiple platforms and products.
• Review tech solution and manage ened to end testing.
• Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative technologies.
• Bring in external perspective on modern tech solutions including AI / ML
• Manage projects and drive improvements to the process and support change management goal of the team along with overall control & governance
• Lead ad-hoc projects to perform deep dives and improve control environment
• Critical Factors to Success: Good Analytical Skills
• Techno-functional experience with OLAPs / BI tools such as tableau, TM1, etc.
• Hands-on experience with dashboard development

Academic Background:

• B.Tech/MCA: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required.

Functional Skills/Capabilities:

• 7-10 years of techno-functional experience with OLAPs and BI tools.
• Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods.
• Experience with design and coding across one or more object oriented platforms and languages

Technical Skills/Capabilities:

• Knowledge of Agile including XML, Oracle DB SQL, Business Intelligence software fundamentals will be an advantage
• Experience in handling large volumes of data, Knowledge in In-memory computing is preferable.
• Desirable to have experience with performance and monitoring tools

Behavioral Skills/Capabilities:

• Communicates effectively with Technical, Operational, and Business stakeholders.
