Overview:

Google is hiring an experienced Engineering Analyst, AdSpam at their Hyderabad and Bangalore locations. In this role, you will be working with Product Managers, Software Engineers (Machine Learning/Anti-Abuse and Security Engineers), Policy, Sales, and Review teams in devising strategy to outsmart the adversaries. Specifically, you will be working on developing data driven insights to improve the review operations, identify new trends in foundational fraud abuse, automation of processes and enforcement, feature engineering/signal development of Machine Learning model improvements, reverse engineering, develop intelligence on threat actors, etc., to stay one step ahead of the adversaries.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Apply advanced statistical methods to large complex data sets to analyze impact of abuse on the Android ecosystem.
• Perform fraud and spam investigations using various data sources, identify product vulnerabilities, and drive anti-abuse experiments to prevent abuse.
• Work with engineers and stakeholders to improve workflows via process improvements, automation, and anti-abuse system creation.
• Conduct complex fraud investigations using data and identify gaps in current defenses, explore/experiment with new signals and develop solutions for scalable enforcement on non-compliant publisher inventory with a focus on Android.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Trust and Safety teams to prevent abuse by changing policies and closing product loopholes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
• 1 year of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree.
• 2 years of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.
• 1 year of experience with machine learning systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
