GSECL Recruitment 2022 for Apprenticeship: Check Post, Age and Other Details
GSECL Recruitment 2022: Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) is a power-generating organization. GSECL is hiring candidates for Apprentices in various trades from various power stations who have satisfactorily completed their apprenticeship training and NCVT. (ALL INDIA TRADE TEST) Those who have passed the examination will have to register in that power station with the prescribed registration form and documentary evidence.
As per the official notification of GSECL Recruitment 2022, The age for appointment of Electrical Assistant (Helper) will be taken into account as on the date of their examination which is 40 years for the reserved category and one heir of retired employees and 35 years for the unreserved category. At present, a total of 18 apprentices are trained in various trades at various power stations, 18 Trades are divided into three groups keeping in mind the different examinations and different allotted work requirements so that the apprentices are not made unfair.
The main division is as follows:
Group 1
Electrical Trade: Lineman, Wireman, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Electronic Mechanic and Switchboard Attendant
Group 2
Mechanical Trade: Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Boiler Attendant and Steam Turbine cum Auxiliary Plant Attendant
Group 3
Other Trade: Welder, Plumber, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Mechanic (Diesel), Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) and Maintenance Mechanic Chemical Plant
Apprentices willing to take the exam have to download the call letter from the institute website using their password. As per the instructions given in the call letter at the fixed time, date and place, the apprentice will have to give the online exam. The examination will be conducted online mode with a total of 100 marks of optional type question paper (without negative marking) and each question will carry 1 mark. The merit list will be prepared according to different groups of passed Group-1 (Electrical) and Group-2 (Mechanical) whereas a separate merit list of individual trades of Group-3 (Others) will be prepared.
Note: Candidates should obtain a minimum of 35 marks and the marks obtained will be published in descending order of the group-wise merit list which will be valid for one year from the date of examination.
